The KEF Q100 Bookshelf Speakers are down to $291 on Amazon right now. They normally sell around $500-550. These are old speakers, having been around as long as 2013, so they’ve definitely dropped in price before. We’ve still never seen them drop lower than $300.
KEF has released new models of the Q series of speakers, including the new Q150 and the larger Q350. As you can see from the links, both of those models are a lot more expensive than the Q100. These speakers are probably discontinued at this point and will become harder and harder to find. It’s perfectly possible we never see this price again.
That’s definitely too bad because the Q100s are quite the speakers. The Q100s produce sound for real audiophiles. Even at $291, they’re still more expensive than a lot of other bookshelf speakers, but that’s because they have KEF’s signature technology behind them that is known for quality sound. These speakers are precise enough for you to pick out individual instruments if you have the ear for it.
If you decide to take the jump on the Q100s, pair them with a receiver like this one we covered earlier today and get your home theater rolling.
