Update: These headphones have jumped back up to their normal street price.
The Sennheiser HD 2.20s on-ear headphones are down to $40 from their usual spot around $65. This is the first real price drop on these headphones since they were released back in 2016. No matter the price, these aren’t high-end headphones for the audiophiles of the group. They’re built to appeal to the casual headphones user that might need something to pair with their smartphone or while on the go.
Even at their normal street price, these headphones delivered a lot for a low cost – a high quality build, a great range of sound with emphasis on the bass, and Sennheiser’s two-year warranty. They are designed to fold up so they’re good for travel, and the cable has an in-line mic as well.
At this price, the 2.20s are actually cheaper than the lesser model, the Sennheiser HD 2.10s. The two pairs of headphones are basically identical except the HD 2.10s don’t have a mic.
