The $38 GE Z-Wave Plus switch adds wireless smart controls to your home's fans

If your fans have a dedicated switch, change to this one for wireless control.

  • What makes this deal worth considering? - This is the lowest price ever on this wireless switch, and it has only matched it once before.
  • Things to know before you buy! - The Z-Wave in the name means you need a Z-Wave compatible hub to work it. Good thing SmartThings is having a huge ongoing sale right now. Lucky you!

The GE Z-Wave Plus Wireless Smart Fan 3-Speed Control is down to $38.24 on Amazon. This wireless switch normally sells for $45. It has only dropped as low as this deal once before, and it was selling as high as $50 earlier this year.

If you have a fan that is controlled by a dedicated light switch (a different switch than the one that controls your lights), you can replace it with this panel that will give you adjustable speeds and wireless control.

Features include:

  • Wirelessly control, adjust speed (low, medium and high) and program scheduled events for fans from anywhere.
  • This smart fan control replaces a switch that only controls fans - lights must be on a separate switch.
  • Up to 50% improved wireless range, 250% faster processor, 400% more memory and energy efficiency over Z-Wave classic products.
  • Requires in-wall installation with hard-wired connections - Neutral wire is required.
  • Works with Alexa for voice control

Because this uses the Z-Wave protocol, you'll need a Z-Wave compatible device for the extra functionality. Good thing SmartThings is having a big ole sale at the moment! It's also compatible with plenty of other Z-Wave hubs like: Pulse, Trane, Nexia, Honeywell, Homeseer, Smart Security, Harmony Home Hub Extender, Vera, Connect and Iris.
