Amazon announced today that if you're an Amazon Rewards Visa Cardmember, you'll earn 3%-5% back on Whole Foods purchases made with your Amazon Rewards Visa card. This includes purchases made at Whole Foods Market 365 stores. You can earn 5% back if you have Amazon Prime (which you absolutely should; try Amazon Prime for free here.) Otherwise, you'll earn 3% back. Check your account for more details.

Other benefits of the Prime Rewards card include 3-5% back on Amazon purchases, 2% back at restaurants, gas stations, and drugstores, and 1% back on other purchases. We've also seen numerous discounts arise out of Amazon's acquisition of Whole Foods stores. Discounted Valentine's Day Roses, special Black Friday deals, and more are just a few additional recent perks for Prime members lucky enough to live near a Whole Foods location. We'll probably see additional deals pop up on Prime Day in a few months as well.

It isn't uncommon for credit cardholders to earn some rewards back on groceries. However, earning the same percent at Whole Foods as you would at Amazon is a huge benefit.
