One of the many advantages to shopping at B&H Photo has been its tax savings for many customers, but unfortunately they started disappearing in several states last year. The company has been hard at work coming up with new and inventive ways to help keep the benefits, and now a new option is available. B&H has introduced the Payboo credit card, which will credit you the sales tax instantly on any purchase made using the card. The card is offered through Synchrony Bank, and you can get an instant approval decision.
Upon approval, you can begin using the card right away, and there's no annual fee. The way it works is quite simple; B&H will charge you the full amount plus sales tax, and then purchases made at its SuperStore location or that are shipped to eligible states will receive an instant reward on their card for the amount of tax that was paid. This will show as a customer payment, and you'll only then be responsible for the remaining portion, which is the cost of the merchandise. There's no limit of any sort as to what your tax savings could be, so depending on your purchasing habits this could end up saving you big time. The card can only be used at B&H's SuperStore or online shop, so you won't be able to go to Target or shop on Amazon with it.
Considering that B&H sells some big ticket items, like Apple's latest MacBook Pro models, big screen 4K TVs, full-frame DSLRs, and much more, the savings on just a single purchase could be a couple of hundred bucks.
