It's quality over quantity when it comes to deals!

The BJ's Wholesale Club Black Friday ad is now available, and it's a large one. At 47 pages long, there is a whole lot to thumb through and look at, but that can be overwhelming. There are some deals here worth considering, and a whole bunch of them worth ignoring, so let's break that down for you.

Deals worth checking out

Hoover Quest 1000 Robotic Vacuum - $279.99

This particular model sits closer to the $550 mark at most retailers currently, and has only dropped down to as low as $404 at Amazon in the past. With this savings, you are only paying a little bit more for this model than you would an entry-level version, and the added features make it worth the extra.

LG 43-inch 4K Smart TV - $299.99

TV's are one of the hardest Black Friday items to compare because there are so many different models and sizes available at retailers. At $299.99 the LG 43UJ6300 is a solid buy, and it's a realistic $100 discount from its average street price. If you're looking for a good TV for a spare room or want to replace something aging, this may be the way to go.

Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8-inch - $99.99

Android tablets are usually something that people either love or hate. If you're in the market for a decent one at the $100 price point, this one is a great option. It is a doorbuster deal, though, so that means supplies will be really limited.

Deals worth ignoring

Discounts are tricky, and sometimes they appear better than they actually are. You may be enticed by a deal, and if you are at BJ's already, then that is ok, but there are plenty of deals here that are not worth a second look, or your time to drive and fight the crowds for.

The iTunes Gift Card deals are mediocre at best. We already know Costco will feature deals on them, as will eBay. You can sit at home and buy a discounted iTunes Gift Card for less than BJ's will have it for, so save on the gas. From what we see, the security camera offers are all more expensive than you can find similar options for at Amazon on a regular day, and most of the appliances we've seen at similar or better prices from places like Best Buy in recent months.

Store information

Just like Costco, it doesn't look like BJ's will open its doors on Thanksgiving. The fun starts at 7 am on Black Friday for the doorbuster deals, but some of these deals do start as early as Friday, November 17 online. Be sure to make a note of which deals are only available on the company's website, so you don't get caught up heading to a store for something you can't actually buy there.
