Our favorite time of the year is back. Black Friday is right around the corner, and we're already seeing ads surfacing online with loads of discounts that you'll soon be able to take advantage of. Costco is one of the first ones we've seen, and it comes in two parts. The company has a Black Friday ad with some exclusive deals for November 22 online, and other deals for November 23 to 26 for both online and in-store. The other is an extended Black Friday sale, which has discounts that kick off as early as November 16.

It may not be the most exciting ad of the year, but there are some solid discounts coming on everyday essentials and some technology that may be on your shopping list, so let's break it down.

Deals worth considering

Google Home Mini 3-pack

Costco offers the 3-pack of Google Home Mini for $100 normally, and come Black Friday the company will be dropping that cost down to just $70. This brings the cost per device down to just $23.33, which is the absolute best we've ever seen. Odds are, once you have one in your home you'll want some more, so buying more to save is a smart idea. Currently, each of these sells for $49 on its own.

Fitbit Versa

The Fitbit Versa is the company's newest smartwatch-style fitness tracker, and we've yet to see any discounts that really matter since it was released. Costco will be offering $50 off, which drops it down to just $150, which is a steal given everything it can do. The Versa can track your steps, sleep, and more, as well as display your phone notifications, allow control of your Nest thermostat, and a few other apps.

Arlo Pro 3-camera Kit

Do it yourself security systems are becoming way more popular, and Netgear's Arlo Pro devices are some of the best you can buy. These offer a ton of features, super simple install, and the ability to be monitored from anywhere in the world using your smartphone. This 3-pack will be $170 off, dropping the price down to just $300. The same kit is selling for $500 at Amazon.

Build-A-Bear Gift Card Set

This is a bit of an odd one, but really any time you can save on buying gift cards, you should. Costco will have a four-pack of $25 gift cards on sale for $90, which is $10 off. If you have some young ones that you'll be shopping this holiday season for, this is an absolute no-brainer deal. You can buy the gift cards online from the comfort of your own home, and then use them and build bears yourself, or give them as gifts so the little ones can create their own.

Other deals to keep an eye on

  • Apple iPad 9.7-inch - $70 off
  • HP Chromebook 14 - $100 off
  • Instant Pot Nova Plus 6-quart - $35 off

Costco-exclusive benefits

You do need a membership for most of Costco's benefits, but during events like this the annual cost easily pays for itself. Unlike other retailers, Costco has a much longer (and better) return policy, and the company offers free shipping on nearly everything it sells online.

Deals worth ignoring

Costco sells a bunch of electronics, but comparing the pricing can be a bit difficult. Some manufacturers make Costco-exclusive SKUs, which convolutes everything and makes comparing things a bit harder. There are a number of laptops available for $100 off and a few discounted TVs, and unless you are already at Costco and looking for that particular item, odds are you're safe to skip checking them out.

Store Information

Unlike other retailers, Costco will not be opening on Thanksgiving, and its stores will be open starting at 9 AM on Black Friday. Some deals are exclusive to Costco.com, while others will also be available in store. Be sure to double check that the deal you want is available in store before making the drive.
