If you've ever been curious about the Microsoft Surface Duo, today is your chance to try it out because it's down to just $549.99 at Woot. This price beats a deal we shared a few weeks ago by about $50, and it's $200 better than Microsoft's current sale. You can choose between 128GB or 256GB, but the latter will cost an extra $70 (which is still $172 better than MIcrosoft's current offering for that version). These are new tablets that come with a one-year warranty from Microsoft.

When we first reviewed the Duo, it was going for around $1,400 and wasn't quite ready for primetime. Daniel Rubino said it "delivers a unique dual-screen experience with Android that holds up" and called the hardware design "ground-breaking." He also added, "With a few updates, Surface Duo could absolutely be life-changing."

We've seen a lot of great updates since, including integration with Xbox Game Pass that lets you take full advantage of the dual-screen setup by providing touch controls on one side with your game on the other. Microsoft has also kept up with Android updates, providing much more stability along with bug fixes, app optimization, and more. Android 11 is even expected later this year.

The Surface Duo has an Android 10 operating system with dual PixelSense Fusion displays and 2700 x 1800 pixel resolution on the 8.1-inch AMOLED panels. The materials are made with Corning Gorilla Glass to help keep them safe.

The tablet is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 mobile platform processor, 6GB RAM, and a minimum of 128GB storage. It even includes a fingerprint reader, LTE and Wi-Fi, 4k video recording at up to 60 fps, Fast Charging via USB-C, and a long-lasting battery life. The new tablet is covered by a one-year warranty from Microsoft.
