National Geographic and Nike teamed up to create a documentary about three long-distance runners training to run a marathon in under two hours. The documentary aired on National Geographic on Sept. 20, and they have since released it for free on a variety of platforms. You can watch it on YouTube right here:

The documentary explores the path these three men took to chase that marathon goal, including how they joined the team, the tests they underwent in labs, and the impact it all had on their day-to-day lives.

Nike's site has a lot more information about the documentary, including the shoes they wore the day of the event.

The athletes had custom outfits designed to help them improve their times, too, which Nike breaks down here.

If you don't want to know the outcome of whether or not they broke the 2-hour barrier, watch the documentary before you go to the link! (Spoilers, Nike!)
