Update: Free Play Weekend has ended.

Choose between a knight, samurai or viking and enter the battlefield of a raging war... For Honor is having a cross-platform Free Play Weekend from August 10-14 on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

For Honor is an intense melee game set in a Medieval period featuring competitive third-person fighting and a sprawling campaign. The real star of the game however is its online multiplayer mode. With how strategically complex you can get due to the wide array of moves and characters available, it creates a fully flexible experience that's hard to put down. And during the Free Play Weekend, you'll have access to the entire game, set of characters and maps.

The Free Play Weekend will be available to players for different lengths of time based on what gaming platform you're using:

  • PS4 players can start at 12:01am PDT on August 10 through 4:59pm PDT on August 14
  • Xbox One players can start at 12:01am PDT on August 10 through 4:59pm PDT on August 14
  • PC players can start at 10:00am PDT on August 10 through 1:00pm PDT on August 13

PC and PS4 players can already pre-load the software if they wish so it's ready to play the moment the Free Play Weekend goes live for their platform.

Ubisoft is expecting new players to have a great time with For Honor, and to entice them to stick around, they're discounting the digital copies of the Standard, Deluxe and Gold versions of the game by 50% from August 10-15, making the base game available for only $29.99 from the Microsoft Store, PlayStation Store and Ubisoft's online store. Amazon has also price-matched this offer for PS4 and Xbox.
