Sanyo is set to release one of the most cost-effective smart TVs on the market this month. Previously only available in Canada, the Sanyo 32-inch FW32R19F LED LCD Smart TV is making its way to the United States exclusively at Walmart for the low price of just $128.
Featuring Roku OS, Dolby Audio, and built-in Wi-Fi, this smart TV gives you the ability to access apps such as Netflix, Hulu, and YouTube without needing a separate device like the Roku Streaming Stick. The Roku OS is great because it allows you to not only access the aforementioned apps, but also devices such as your cable box, OTA antenna, and gaming consoles. Pairing it with an antenna is a smart way to no longer need a cable subscription, too.
It gets better though, because this TV will soon support voice control. It receives the latest Roku OS updates, including one which is coming later this month to activate that feature. The TV offers 720p resolution, Brilliant Motion Rate 120 processing and is equipped with two HDMI inputs, an OTA tuner, composite inputs, and an optical digital audio output.
A Roku remote is included which offers quick shortcut buttons to popular channels like Netflix, though you can also download the free Roku mobile app for your iOS or Android device and use your phone in its place. You can even cast videos straight to the TV from your mobile device. The app and remote allow you to plug in headphones to begin listening to what's on TV privately. Another great feature of this television comes when you plug in a USB flash drive. Then you can even pause over-the-air live TV broadcasts.
Sanyo's 32-inch smart TV is scheduled to appear at Walmart soon, but if you can't wait, there are other similar options at Amazon which aren't quite as affordable but offer Amazon Fire TV functionality and an upgrade in picture quality; the Toshiba 4K Smart TVs start at $300 right now while the Insignia 4K Smart TVs are priced from $330 currently.
