Update: This item is out of stock.

If you're a student or staff at a university, Microsoft is taking $100 off the Surface Pro 4 with Black Type Cover, bringing the total down to $899.10. This model has a 256GB SSD and Intel Core i5 processor. This same bundle is $1,160 on Amazon through a third party. There's a link right on the page for verifying your academic status.

The Surface Pro 4 comes with a full version of Windows 10 Pro and a 30-day trial for Office 365. It has a 12.3-inch display with 2736x1824 pixel resolution and 10-point multi-touch. It uses a sixth gen Intel Core i5 processor and the integrated Intel HD Graphics 520. It has Bluetooth, USB 3.0, and a microSD card reader. The front-facing camera is 5MP with 1080p HD video. The rear camera is 8MP. Like any good tablet, it also has an accelerometer and gyroscope.

Microsoft offers a one-year warranty, too. Read Windows Central's full review of the Surface Pro 4 here.

My personal opinion is 256GB is the bare minimum you should get for a product like this, but if you don't want to spend that much Best Buy has the 128GB version down to $775 for students.

If you're not a student or teacher and want a good deal on the Surface Pro, Amazon has the Surface Pro 3 refurbished today only for $255.
